Week 5
Discussion & Assignment Prompt Rubrics
Reflection
The process of creating my discussion and assignment rubrics was very insightful. It forced me to clearly outline the skills, knowledge, and participation levels I expect from my students. Now, I have a baseline for evaluating student work and providing feedback. In the future, I'll review the results from rubric assessments to identify areas where learners consistently excel or struggle. This way, I can identify strengths within my course and target potential weaknesses. For instance, if many students miss a particular concept within an assignment, I might revisit the instructional materials related to that topic. Similarly, observing patterns in discussion rubrics could help me modify discussion prompts or guidelines to foster more enriching exchanges. The data gathered from rubrics offers insights to make informed decisions about my course, ensuring a continually improving student learning experience.

However, digitalization has opened doors for alternative resume formats like online portfolios, infographics, or even video pitches. Do you think traditional resumes will become obsolete? When might an alternative format be more effective, and how can it be used strategically to showcase your skills and stand out from the crowd?
